Hongfei Zhang introduced the latest progress and specific practices of Lingang Innovation Center in promoting the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and accelerating the construction of sub-centers. “Our work objectives are very clear,” he said. It is necessary to adhere to an international vision and forward-looking thinking, combine the local industrial positioning and environment, introduce the relevant resources of the Shanghai Lingang Innovation Center and the Lingang Special Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone in China, and fully connect the cutting-edge research and development resources in the Yangtze River Delta region. The goal is to build an innovative service model and a new collaborative innovation mechanism with technology transfer at the core, technology finance and professional incubation as the two subsets, and promote the construction of a demonstration base for industrial collaboration in entrepreneurship and innovation. This includes building and sub-centers of the Lingang Innovation Center, making it an international-oriented, R&D and industry benchmark. It will be an industrial ecosystem that gathers top resources of “production, research, incubation, and education”, and lays the foundation for becoming China’s leading national demonstration park. Hua Yang explained the relevant plans for the construction of Lingang Innovation Center sub-centers.
Deputy Director Chao Gu and Director Xiaoping Zhou gave an overview of Taicang City and the development goals of Loujiang New City. Taicang City now has a Linhu Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Zone, a Sino-German Cooperative Industrial Cluster (which has cooperated with Germany for 29 years since 1993) and a University Scientific Research Industrial Zone. There are more than 1,500 foreign-funded enterprises in Taicang, including more than 400 German enterprises. Deputy Director Chao Gu had an in-depth discussion with General Manager Hongfei Zhang on how to enjoy benefits of Lingang’s development through the construction of sub-centers.
The two parties had a candid discussion on the cooperation to build a demonstration base for industrial synergy in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the construction of a Lingang Innovation Center sub-center. The two sides hope to move forward as soon as possible and strive for an early realization of cooperation.
