Recently, the government of the Fenghua district in Ningbo, CCCC Urban Investment Holding Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CCCC”), National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center (hereinafter referred to as “Eastern Center”) and Shanghai Lingang Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as “LGIC”) co-built the Ningbo • Shanghai Dual Innovation Industrial Transfer Demonstration Base. LGIC and Eastern Center’s Ningbo Branches were officially inaugurated in the CCCC Innovation Corridor. The goal is to promote the transfer of scientific and technological achievements and the incubation of industries between Shanghai and Ningbo, to create a strong foundation for the development of industrial integration, and to help the integration of science and technology in the Yangtze River Delta.

LGIC is located in the Lingang Special Area of the Pilot Free Trade Zone. It is a national technology business incubator featuring intelligent manufacturing. Relying on the high-quality resources of the Shanghai Technology Exchange, the National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center, the Yangpu Venture Incubation Group, the Global Cross-Border Technology Trade Center, and the Offshore Industry Incubation Base, LGIC is committed to industrial incubation, fostering innovation clusters of high-tech enterprises, help innovate cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements, and the healthy growth of the regional economy. The “Flower of Innovation” Blooms

The CCCC’s New City project in the Fenghua district of Ningbo was signed at the end of December 2016, with a total investment of 43.55 billion yuan. The location of this new city was included at the end of 2020 in the Ningbo 14th Five-Year Plan’s key urban development area. The CCCC Innovation Corridor located in the core area of the CCCC New City covers an area of 180 acres and has a building area of 315,000 square meters. It will be built with technological innovation and industrial services as its leading direction, creating exhibition centers and service centers, industrial buildings, R&D headquarters, pilot workshops, innovation spaces, talent apartment and commercial support, etc. It will be an industrial community integrating production, innovation, exhibition, and business functions. After more than two years of negotiation and communication between CCCC, Eastern Center and LGIC, the “flower of innovation” has finally been cultivated in Fenghua, Ningbo.

National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center

The National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center is a national and regional technology transfer platform jointly promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. It is guided by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and coordinated by the Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Center. It was launched on April 23, 2015. The Center is committed to providing comprehensive services of technology transactions, technology finance, and industry incubation; opening up channels for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements among universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprises, and building a fourth-party platform that is platform-oriented, globalized, market-oriented, capitalized, and specialized. The transformation of scientific and technological achievements into an innovative ecosystem will help Shanghai build a science and innovation center with global influence.

Shanghai Technology Exchange

Established in 1993, the Shanghai Technology Exchange is the country’s first national-level technology transfer institution. It is jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. On October 28, 2020, the Shanghai Technology Exchange officially began to build a core trading system which organizes technical achievements and technical transaction services in accordance with the law and provide one-stop transaction settlements and transaction verification services; forming a cluster of innovative resources and promoting scientific and technological achievements.
